The privacy statement of Wishdata and the Conditions of use describe the terms and conditions applicable to the use of the gift registry service. Use of this web-site constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
In short: Wishdata will never voluntary make your personal information available to a third party without your preceding consent. You can contribute to the protection of your privacy and the privacy of other users through cautious and responsible behavior. You must be aware of the fact that the world and especially the internet is not 100% safe.

Mutual respect and trust
Wishdata fully respects the privacy of you and all other users. Users should also respect the privacy of each other. Like you put your trust in other users, other users may put their trust in you for example when they allow you to visit a gift registry. Is not allowed to damage that trust in any way.
Personal information
To allow a correct working, the gift registry service requires specific personal information like your email address, your country of living and your preferred language. Other personal information such as your name, postal address, telephone number, date of birth and your gift registry is only accessible to your family, friends etc., who have been authorized by you to visit your gift registry. Your name and email address are also accessible to the owners of gift registries that you have shown interest for, so that they can authorize you to visit their gift registries. Your name is also visible to those who have expressed interest in your gift registry. It is not allowed to provide incorrect or misleading information.
If you enter personal data about other people, for example to invite them or for a drawing of lots, please make sure you have their permission to do so.
You determine the access
The purpose of the gift registry service is to share personal information between users. You determine who is and who is not authorized to visit your gift registry. If you have more than one gift registry, you can apply a different admittance policy for every gift registry. It is even possible to restrict access on a per wish basis.
Under all circumstances, you are responsible for providing access to your gift registry. It is not allowed to authorize unknown users or users who pretend to be someone else. In case of doubt, you must first check the identity of the person before considering to authorize that person to visit your gift registry.
Wishdata respects your privacy
Wishdata will never voluntary make your personal information available to a third party without your preceding consent. It is possible that Wishdata provides anonymous statistical information to third parties, such as information on the number of users with a certain product on their gift registry.
This policy also applies to all partners of Wishdata; for example webshops where wishes may be originating. Wishdata does not share personal information with these companies.
Protection of personal information
Wishdata administers your personal information. Wishdata is registered as processor of personal information at the Dutch Data Protection Authority under number m1250686.
You must be aware of the fact that the world and especially the internet is not 100% safe. Wishdata uses standard physical and electronic data-protection technology. Passwords are saved after encryption. Automatic login codes are sent by email. You are responsible to keep these secret. If you share a computer with other people, you should explicitly logout after using the gift registry service.
Cookies
Cookies are little pieces of information, which in some cases can restrict the privacy of the user. The gift registry service uses functional cookies to prevent constant logging in or retyping your email address. The gift registry service also uses Google Analytics for statistics. Data is processed anonymously and is not shared with other parties.
