About this service
Conditions of use
The conditions of use of Wishdata and the Privacy statement describe the terms and conditions applicable to the use of the gift registry service. Use of this web-site constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
In short: We expect from you that you use the gift registry service exclusively to exchange personal gift registry information with your family members and friends and to behave in a normal decent and trustworthy manner. If that is too much to ask, please don’t use the gift registry service. Otherwise, you are most welcome to use the gift registry service ‘AS IS’, that is without any warranties.
Limited responsibility and liability
Future amendments
The gift registry service may amend the conditions of use at any time by changing the conditions on our site. These changes will become effective immediately. When possible and reasonable, we will inform you of such changes in advance (typically 30 days).
Be honest and decent
Just be yourself and communicate in an open and honest way on your own behalf. Do not pretend to be somebody else or otherwise provide false, misleading, incomplete or incorrect information to us or other users. You should not infringe on the rights of other people or companies, nor try to invade their privacy. You are solely responsible for any information you provide to us or other users. Your information should not be against the law, threatening, harassing, obscene or otherwise offensive. It should not harm the good name of the gift registry service and the correct working of our services.
It is not allowed to use the gift registry service for any other purpose then the exchange of personal gift registry information with your family members and friends.
You are only allowed to access gift registries of friends and family who have given you access to their gift registries. You may not hack into or otherwise attempt to access other areas of the gift registry service to which you have not been granted access.
Be cautious
The gift registry service is not involved in the actual exchange of information between its users. Because user authentication on the Internet is difficult, the gift registry service cannot and does not confirm each user's purported identity. You should only allow someone to access your gift registry or visit someone else’s gift registry, when you are sure about the identity of the other user and his or her good intentions. When in doubt we encourage you to ask questions first (contact the person directly).
You can set a password and you receive an automatic login code to access the gift registry service. You are fully responsible for all use - authorized and unauthorized - of your codes.
CHILDREN can be extra vulnerable and the people responsible for their well-being will agree that children need extra protection. We strongly advise to appoint one parent (or both) as co-owner of the childs' gift registry.
Be responsible
Be aware of the effects of your actions on the correct working of the gift registry service. It is important that you keep the information on your gift registry up-to-date. If a wish is no longer relevant, remove it from your gift registry. Somebody may otherwise give it to you. If you have selected a wish from somebody’s gift registry, please confirm that you fulfilled the wish or put it back on the gift registry as soon as possible. Somebody else may be able to fulfil the wish. If you are appointed as gift registrymanager, please take your job seriously.
And contribute
If you have complaints about the gift registry service, we would very much appreciate your recommendations for future improvements. If you appreciate the gift registry service, please feel free to tell others about it!
Limited responsibility and liability
You may use the gift registry service ‘AS IS’, THAT IS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES. Because the gift registry service is not involved in the actual exchange of information between users, in the event that you have a dispute with one or more users, you release the gift registry service (and our personel) from claims, demands and damages. Our liability to you or any third parties in any circumstances is limited to the amount of fees you paid to us for the use of the gift registry service in the 12 months prior to the action giving rise to the liability claim.
